Dr. Katarina Keber je višja znanstvena sodelavka Zgodovinskega inštituta Milka Kosa ZRC SAZU. Ukvarja se s področjem socialne zgodovine medicine, v okviru katerega se posveča predvsem zdravstveno-socialnim razmeram v 19. in na začetku 20. stoletja. Preučuje epidemije in njihove posledice, razvoj javnega zdravstvenega sistema in zdravstveno-socialno politiko v slovenskih deželah habsburške monarhije. Je tudi koordinatorka Historičnega seminarja ZRC SAZU ter članica uredniških odborov knjižne zbirke Thesaurus memoriae (serije Dissertationes, Fontes, Opuscula), knjižne zbirke Obzorja Koroške in publikacije Historični seminar.
